A direct cremation, also known as an unattended cremation, a cremation only funeral or a no-service cremation, prioritises simplicity. We handle the cremation process entirely, from bringing your loved one into our care, to laying them in their coffin, to taking them to the crematorium in Perth for their cremation - all without a formal funeral service. We provide a basic cremation coffin and floral arrangement. If you would like a special coffin or floral arrangement, please ask when contacting our friendly staff.
We will assist in having your loved one's ashes returned to you and can assist in requesting a physical death certificate if this is desired.

Our Direct Cremation Packages Do Not Include:
- Attendance of family at crematorium or cemetery.
- Photographic presentation of the deceased.

- Full Payment must be made within 24hrs from invoicing.
- Please note that failure to make payment may result in your loved one's cremation being postponed.
How a Perth Direct Cremation Works
Step 1. Call Farewell Cremations to arrange a direct cremation
We will be here when you need, whether that is at the time of your loved one's passing, or pre-planning a cremation. It is always better to pre-arrange and complete the required documents ahead of time if possible. We are only a phone call away.
Step 2. Your loved one is respectfully transferred into our care.
Once we receive the call and the required medical documents have been completed, your loved one is brought to our funeral home and looked after until the morning of the direct cremation.
Step 3. We complete the arrangements and required documentation.
We will work with the attending doctor or Coroner's Court and Metropolitan Cemeteries Board to arrange the cremation permit and required documentation prior to your loved one's direct cremation.
Step 4. The cremation takes place and we assist with the ashes and death registration.
Once the direct cremation takes place, we will provide instructions on how to retrieve the ashes from the desired crematorium location, submit the death registration once you have reviewed it, and assist in any enquiries to ensure you are satisfied with out cremation services.
